If you're looking for a unique and thought-provoking experience in Bangkok, look no further than the MOCA Museum. With its five floors of contemporary art, this museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in the art scene in Thailand.

The MOCA Museum, which stands for Museum of Contemporary Art, was founded in 2012 by Boonchai Bencharongkul, a Thai businessman and art collector. His vision was to create a space where visitors could see and appreciate the contemporary art movement in Thailand, and he has certainly succeeded in this goal.

The museum is housed in a large, modern building in the northern suburbs of Bangkok. Inside, visitors are treated to a wide range of art forms, from paintings and sculptures to installations and video art. Many of the pieces on display were created by Thai artists, but there are also works by international artists from all over the world.

One of the highlights of the MOCA Museum is its commitment to showcasing art that is relevant to contemporary social issues. For example, there are pieces that explore political and social issues in Thailand, as well as works that comment on global concerns like climate change and social justice.

In addition to its impressive collection of art, the MOCA Museum also hosts regular exhibitions, workshops, and events. These can range from talks and discussions with artists to film screenings and performances. There is always something new and exciting happening at this museum, so it's worth checking the calendar of events to see what's coming up.

When I went, the MOCA had a Banksy installation, honoring his work. Although that look appealing, my friends and I decided to do the other tour; we preferred a more cultural experience. If I wanted to see something Banksy, I'd go to England.

Overall, the MOCA Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in contemporary art, whether you're a seasoned art lover or a curious newcomer. With its focus on relevant social issues and commitment to showcasing the work of both local and international artists, it is a truly unique and influential institution in the Bangkok art scene.
